TRAJECTS Centre, Colombia
Since its establishment in 2021, TRAJECTS has supported several projects, initiatives and research on sustainability and just transitions in Colombia and South Africa. By providing funding opportunities, advocacy work, assisting the development of methodologies, and providing spaces for dialogue and exchange, TRAJECTS has created a sound network of community-based initiatives and actors working to advance sustainable and just transitions in their territories and communities. “Multiple paths for building just transitions from local” is a space to socialise with different groups and publics the work of local actors to shift to a post-fossil future and sustainable land uses and practices. These groups include the academic community, conference assistants, students, decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and all those interested in supporting and engaging with these local- and community-based initiatives. In this exchange space, community and project leaders will share their initiatives, practices, and lessons learned for those interested in getting inspired or replicating similar initiatives in their own contexts. Thus, this space aims to inspire new actions in different regions and territories and attract new partners to support these initiatives aiming to build a sustainable and just transition from below. Everyone interested to support and learn more about the work different communities do to create a more sustainable and just future is welcome. This event will be on-site and won’t have simultaneous live-stream broadcast or translation.
